The British Columbia Swing Dance Club is a non-profit club dedicated to the learning, promotion and enjoyment of West Coast Swing. We welcome people of all ages and dance backgrounds, from beginner to advanced, to our lessons and dances.
The BCSDC held its 2007 AGM on February 2nd 2008 and elected a new governing board to direct the club's business this coming year. Please give a warm welcome to your BCSDC Board of Directors for 2008:
Outgoing President Stuart Ho, summarized all the positive actions and changes of the past year and thanked the many club volunteers, including the outgoing Board of Directors, who made it possible for 2007 to be a great come-back year, for the club. And both outgoing and incoming Boards thanked all the Instructors for their generosity and unwavering club support.
The AGM was very successful this year, with good attendance. The evening started off with 2 fabulous 45-minute workshops by Miles & Tessa, our amazing Canadian Swing Dance Champions, who once again shared their skills and talent with club members - Thank you! Following the workshops a free dinner was served - yummy Bella Pizza, great desserts made by Terri, and beverages - to members who attended the AGM. The evening dance was DJ'd by the always up to date Andre Russo and there were people dancing right up to the last minute, which is always a great sign!!
We have reorganized the site, improved access to information, updated our links and added many new pages for your enjoyment. This total Web revamp is the product of many hours of volunteer work by our Web Committee members: Silent Lucidity, our visionary and talented Webmaster, Gladys Tang, our reliable Programmer and general task master, Sheila Adams and Natalia Bouvier, the content writers, as well as Karen Campbell and her amazing photography. To all, a heartfelt thank-you from the Board of Directors.
